Privacy notice

IT Hospital is responsible for the personal information you provide when you contact us about a repair, technical support or business IT service.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, telephone number, email address, preferred contact method, device or company details, and the information you include in your enquiry. If you proceed with a repair, we may also keep job records, quotes, invoices and communications relating to the work.

How we use it

Legal basis

We normally process enquiry and repair information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, or for our legitimate interest in operating and improving the business. Where a legal obligation applies, records may be retained to meet that obligation.

Service providers

The website contact form is processed using Netlify Forms. Information may also be handled through the email, telephone, messaging, accounting or repair-management services used to operate IT Hospital. We only use service providers where needed to deliver and administer the service.

Data from devices

IT Hospital treats customer data as confidential. Device contents are accessed only where reasonably necessary for diagnosis, repair, testing or data recovery. Data will not intentionally be erased without your agreement, although customers should maintain a current backup because hardware and storage faults can involve unavoidable risk.

Retention

General enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as reasonably needed. Repair, warranty, invoice and accounting records may be retained for longer where required for business, tax or legal purposes.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
